We walked everywhere, the location was perfect and convenient, in a central area.

Brand-new unit with a nice decor, attentive staff at the reception desk. Perfect and magnificent location to boats as well as beaches on the western side of the island, and 15 minute walk from Aria Resort & Casino.

The location was great for shopping and tours. Cafes and restruants were close and good value. Good location for all tours and boat trips.
When we booked we thought that we would have a room looking over the harbour. The hotel only has rooms looking over the park and the main street. Suggestion that they include in their website that there are no rooms over looking the harbour area. If you have a choice book the rooms over looking the park instead of the main street. Be careful of some tour operators as there is a majority of tour operators which are in fact time share sellers. There are some that advertise that they are not involved in time share and they are the best. You might pay more for the trips but you do not have to put up with a 2 hour sales pitch that could cost you up to $46,000 US dollars.

The place was clean with free parking and a great bed. Unbeatable location, great breakfast with a lot of food. Reasonable base for exploring Lahaina.

Love the location.
Our smoking room really smelled badly with smoke. Pioneer inn should not allow smoking in the rooms. There is a huge porch outside of the room where smoking should and only be allowed. Other than that, I think that the pioneer inn is a very nice place to stay, and I will recommend it to all, and I will still want to stay at the pioneer inn again in the future.

The location in an historical town of Lahaina, the looks and feel of the place made us go back in time and dream of the whaling days.
We paid the same for 2 rooms, one had a fantastic view of Banyan tree park, the mountains and the harbor. The other only looked over the pool which did not even open until 10am.

I had a lovely stay! The nachos with Kalua pork were generous and delicious, and the overall charm made it a delightful experience. I would absolutely return.

I love historical hotels and the Pioneer had a lovely feel to it. It was handy to everything which made it a great base. Alex the charismatic parrot adds a unique touch. Loved the place.
It was a little noisy at night but the noise didn't persist past a reasonable time. It was just that I was very tired from having so much fun on Maui that it was a bit of a problem. However, that is to be expected of a hotel, so I wasn't surprised.

It was located right across the street from the Ferry from Molokai to Maui. We didn't have a rental car, so it was centrally located. Everything was within walking distance, or not far by taxi / bus.
